Wisconsin Department of Health Services WIC Medical Vehicle

Wisconsin Department of Health Services WIC (Women, Infants and Children) recently took delivery of their new mobile medical vehicle. The vehicle is built on a Ford E-450 commercial cutaway chassis and features a 7.3L gasoline engine with 6-speed automatic transmission. The vehicle is also equipped with a curbside electric pneumatic wheelchair lift, LED scene lights and a flip down aluminum rear step.

The inside of the vehicle features a front work area with aluminum cabinetry for storage. A café-style side work table is also included with a spider base task chair. We also integrated a magnetic soft-close pocket door for privacy.

The rear of the vehicle has a fixed bench seat with stowable work table. A medical grade refrigerator is also included. Laminate countertops are utilized throughout. A low profile rooftop A/C unit with wall thermostat plus an electric wall mounted heater handle the HVAC duties. An Onan Commercial Quiet EFI generator supplies up to 7kW of electric power to the vehicle. A full vehicle surge suppression system protects the vehicle’s electrical components. A CradlePoint cellular route with roof mounted antenna is included.
