Wisconsin Department of Health Services WIC (Women, Infants and Children) recently took delivery of their new mobile medical vehicle. The vehicle is built on a Ford E-450 commercial cutaway chassis and features a 7.3L gasoline engine with 6-speed automatic transmission. The vehicle is also equipped with a curbside electric pneumatic wheelchair lift, LED scene lights and a flip down aluminum rear step.
The inside of the vehicle features a front work area with aluminum cabinetry for storage. A café-style side work table is also included with a spider base task chair. We also integrated a magnetic soft-close pocket door for privacy.
The rear of the vehicle has a fixed bench seat with stowable work table. A medical grade refrigerator is also included. Laminate countertops are utilized throughout. A low profile rooftop A/C unit with wall thermostat plus an electric wall mounted heater handle the HVAC duties. An Onan Commercial Quiet EFI generator supplies up to 7kW of electric power to the vehicle. A full vehicle surge suppression system protects the vehicle's electrical components. A CradlePoint cellular route with roof mounted antenna is included.
