Whiteside County Health Department (IL) Mobile Medical Vehicle

Whiteside County Health Department (IL) just took delivery of their new mobile medical vehicle. The medical vehicle features a Freightliner MT-55 forward control chassis with a CUMMINs B6.7L diesel engine and an Allison 2500EVS automatic transmission. The all aluminum body features our Extreme Duty, hand fabricated body storage compartments. We also installed a swing out door with a Braun electric pneumatic wheelchair lift. Bright LED scene lights have also been installed. A power retractable awning was installed on the mobile medical vehicle to provide shade.

Inside, the vehicle features two patient exam rooms and a waiting area. The front room features custom fabricated aluminum cabinets, custom laminate counter tops and a Brewer exam table. Operator's stools are utilized as well. We installed Welch Allyn diagnostics equipment in each room. Magnetic closure pocket doors (3) are installed along with privacy curtains. The front room also has a galley with microwave and refrigerator. Custom wood slatwall was also installed which looks beautiful! The center waiting area of the vehicle features a fixed bench seat. There is a custom bin with access hole in the counter top. We also installed a medical grade refrigerator. A task stool was also included for checking-in patients. Aluminum cabinets with custom gray powder coat offer ample room for gear storage. Switchable LED under cabinet lights are also included. The rear exam room is equipped similarly to the front room with exam table, operator's stool, aluminum cabinets with under cabinet lighting, sink and medical diagnostics equipment.

A lavatory with waterless toilet is included in the medical vehicle design. There is pressurized water supply for both exam rooms and the lavatory sink. An Onan Commercial Quiet diesel generator supplies electric power to the vehicle. A full vehicle surge suppression system protects all of the electrical equipment.
