Warren Police Department (MI) recently took delivery of this feature-filled new mobile command center! Built on a Freightliner MT-55 forward control chassis, this mobile command center is powered by a Cummins 300HP engine and also features an Allison 2500 EVS automatic transmission with PTO provision, air brakes, and air suspension.

The front conference room includes a two fixed tables with a fold-down leaf, fixed bench seating, and five 32" LED monitors. Two magnetic dry erase boards framed in aluminum are also found in the front area. An LDV-exclusive flat-floor slide-out room maximizes the interior space of the vehicle, expanding the front conference room when deployed. LDV's exclusive Intel-I-Touch™ vehicle automation system allows for deployment with the touch of a button with three mini touch pads integrated in different areas of the vehicle. In the center of the vehicle sits an electronics rack, custom-fabricated aluminum cabinets with slide-out tray for a printer/fax/copier/scanner, galley kitchen and lavatory. Included in the galley is a microwave, coffee maker, sink with a hand pump galley water system, and refrigerator. Inside the lavatory is an Incinolet stainless steel electric toilet system, power roof vent override circuit, and a wall-mounted hand sanitizer dispenser. Four work stations with pneumatic task chairs, custom-fabricated aluminum cabinets with dry erase surfaces, and five 24" monitors complete the rear work area along with an aluminum-framed magnetic dry erase board. Prewire and installation provisions have also been made for communications radios at two of the rear work stations.

For the exterior, a weatherproof single door exterior workstation houses a 40" LED 4K UHD TV, multiple outlets, and an Intel-I-Touch screen. This exterior workstation is covered by an electric awning, providing shade and cover from inclement weather for those working outside or entering/exiting the vehicle. On the back, a 15" wide roof access ladder has been mounted on the rear next to the heavy-duty non-locking telescoping pneumatic mast complete with dome network camera, video decoder and lookup light. For added safety, a color backup camera system has been added to the rear of the vehicle exterior as well. An emergency lights and siren package helps round out the exterior. HVAC needs are handled by three ducted low-profile air conditioners, a wall-mounted 5,120 Btu/hr electric heater, and a 12,000-16,000 Bt/hr direct discharge diesel-fired furnace. A 25-kW liquid-cooled diesel generator is housed in a custom-fabricated generator compartment. A fully automatic one-touch vehicle leveling system helps the vehicle stay level no matter what terrain it is parked on.
