Virginia State Police chose Freightliner MT-55, 24ft. all-aluminum walk-in style vans for their two new matching mobile command centers. Deployment is handled by our Intel-I-Touch™ vehicle automation touch screen. Interior space is increased courtesy of two industry-exclusive, LDV-fabricated flat-floor slide-outs integrated into the body. Awnings automatically extend and retract with the slide-outs to protect them from weather and debris. To ease parking situations, a color backup camera system was installed.

The front area of the interior has a conference area complete with fixed bench seating with removable cushions for storage, a fixed meeting table and flip-down bench seats. Dual high resolution monitors are wall-mounted to the curb side slide-out wall.Dual custom fabricated magnetic dry erase white boards were installed in the conference room as well. In the center of the vehicle is a galley complete with microwave and refrigerator as well as the electronics rack.

In the rear, 3 workstations complete with network connectivity, radios and various ports were included in the vehicle’s design. The truck features 6 pneumatic task chairs with caster bases for free movement thanks to the flat-floor design of the vehicle. Counter tops are durable laminate. Several aluminum cabinets for ample storage were installed throughout the interior. LED lighting provides a bright work environment both on the ceiling and under cabinets. On the exterior of the vehicle, a rear-mounted pneumatic mast was installed with perimeter dome camera. Aluminum wire chase raceway was custom fabricated and installed to the roof for all wiring. A complete emergency lighting and siren package and a green beacon were part of the vehicle specifications as well.
