US Navy SWRMC (CA) recently took delivery of this new mobile dive truck. Built on a Freightliner M2 106 conventional cab chassis, the vehicle features an all aluminum body. Electric power is supplied to the entire vehicle by a CUMMINS 32kW generator PTO package. Bright LED scene lighting and a complete emergency lights and siren package was also installed. LED light poles are also included as well as dual tripod lights which are housed within the interior. Entry into the vehicle is by streetside or rear entry doors. We included a custom fabricated flip down step on the rear bumper for entry assist. Extreme Duty body storage compartments were also integrated into the body. A large roll up compartment houses umbilicals and dive tanks. There is a pull out step for easier access. We also installed a generous exterior awning on the streetside. The truck is also equipped with a rear hitch.
Inside, the vehicle has a custom fabricated center console in the cab area. The rear work area has banks of bench height Vidmar cabinets with butcher block work top. There is also a machinist's vise. Custom aluminum cabinets have also been included with undercabinet lighting. Dual water coolers and a refrigerator have also been installed. There is also a coffee maker. The rear of the interior is equipped with floor drains. We also installed custom flip down bench seats for staff members. Adjustable aluminum box pan shelves have been included for gear storage and cargo mesh netting to secure during transport. Dual rooftop A/C units have been installed with wall thermostat along with an electric wall heater.
