The Night Ministry of Illinois recently took delivery of their new outreach vehicle which will be used to reach unhoused members of the community. The mission is to provide free healthcare to those that need it. Built on a Ford F59 chassis, their vehicle features a 7.3L gasoline engine with a 6-speed TorqShift automatic transmission and an all aluminum body construction. Entry into the vehicle is by dual entry doors, each with an electric step. Extreme duty body storage compartments have also been adde for additional gear storage. We integrated a PA system for the interior and exterior with local volume control for the interior speaker system. The outreach vehicle also has LED interior lighting throughout.
Inside, the outreach vehicle has a front conference/meeting room with fixed bench seating and seat belts for staff. A removable center table has also been included. Magnetic closure pocket doors provide privacy when needed. Custom aluminum cabinets are installed. The center of the vehicle has a lavatory complete with toilet and corner sink. A large storage closet is also included in the center area.
The rear patient room features an exam table, sink and medical grade refrigerator. A safe has also been installed in one of the lower cabinets in the rear room. A Welch Allyn diagnostics set has been wall mounted.
