The Hartford's Mobile Response Unit (MRU) is ready to assist adjusters in serving customers. With onboard technology to process claims on board, as well as give victims reprieve from the weather, a cash station, a mobile canteen and more, this unit can respond to any disaster to assist customers.
The vehicle features four flat-floor slide-outs to maximize the interior space and accommodate the many different features that have been used throughout this vehicle. A galley kitchen complete with a microwave, coffee maker, sink, and stainless steel double-door refrigerator provides convenience and comfort for both staff and the customers they are serving. For comfort and convenience of staff and customers, an on-board lavatory has been added. Fixed bench seating with removable cushions provides additional storage space. Areas for two removable tables have been installed in front of the fixed bench seating to create more work areas. When additional privacy is needed, a pocket door provides separation between the different areas of the vehicle. Solid surface countertops have been used throughout the vehicle for maximum durability. Multiple electronics racks were included in the design of the vehicle to accommodate the necessary equipment.
The exterior is full of features including an exterior shower and slide-out kitchen with a griddle, electric grill, and flip-up stainless steel table leaf. A weatherproof exterior access door for an ATM and a monitor has also been integrated into the vehicle’s body. For HVAC needs, four low-profile air conditioners and a wall-mounted electric heater keep the temperature comfortable. Awnings provide shade for those working outside as well as those utilizing the exterior features. When rooftop access is needed, a ladder has also been installed.
