This recent build for the Texas Department of Public Safety is built on a Freightliner M2 112 conventional cab chassis and features a single rear axle with a Detroit DD13 12.8L 505HP diesel engine with an Allison 4000 EVS automatic transmission. The all aluminum body has a single in-house fabricated flat floor slide-out and features one of our exterior workstations integrated into it. Extreme Duty body storage compartments have been added to the body as well as a pull out aluminum stair cassette for entry into the vehicle. We fitted a complete emergency lighting and siren package to the vehicle. The cab area has a custom center console designed to house the Intel-I-Touch vehicle automation touch screen used to deploy the vehicle quickly on scene. A vehicle leveling system has also been added to stabilize the mobile command center while deployed.

Inside, the command center has a front work room with three workstations. Spider base task chairs are utilized for staff. A 43″ high resolution display monitor is wall mounted on each side of the front work room. There is a weather station as well. Custom aluminum cabinetry is installed for gear storage. Dual electronics racks have also been installed to house the installed equipment. A slide out printer tray is also included. Magnetic soft closure pocket doors provide privacy. We custom built and installed magnetic surface dry erase white boards as well.

A galley features a microwave, Keurig™ coffee maker and a refrigerator. A second Intel-I-Touch display monitor is located near the curbside entry door. The rear room has a fixed center table with flip down leaf, two spider base task chairs and fixed and flip down bench seating.

A powerful 25kW liquid-cooled diesel generator supplies electric power to the vehicle. A full vehicle surge suppression system protects all of the installed electronics. Four ducted low profile rooftop A/C units handle the cooling duties while three electric wall mount heaters can heat the interior up when needed.
