Tempe Police Department’s mobile command center is built on a Ford F-650 regular cab and features a custom all aluminum dry van body with a 270HP Power Stroke 6.7L turbo diesel engine. To maximize the interior workspace we added (2) in-house fabricated flat floor slide-outs with a leveling system. Our exclusive Intel-I-Touch™ vehicle automation system is installed to ensure safety, and simplify the setup and shutdown of the vehicle on scene. Entry into the vehicle is by curbside entry door and features LDV’s custom pull-out stair cassette. The lavatory is accessed through the rear door.

In the cab: A custom fabricated center console houses: customer supplied radio, small Intel-I-Touch touch panel, siren control and cup holders. A color backup camera system has also been installed to assist with parking maneuvers.

The interior features a spacious conference/collaboration room complete with a 55″ and (3) 50″ wall mounted monitors. The center table provides seating for six staff members using spider base task chairs. We added flip down bench seating as well. Commercial grade aluminum cabinets are included for gear storage. A multi-function printer and a small refrigerator are also included.

A pressurized water supply system is included with one 30 gallon fresh water and one 35 gallon waste water tank. The HVAC system consists of three ducted low profile rooftop A/C units and a power roof ventilator. Electric power is supplied to the vehicle by a 12kW commercial quiet generator housed within a custom fabricated compartment. Extreme Duty body storage compartments are included for gear. A complete emergency lights and siren package was added along with LED scene lighting.
