Stockton Police Department (CA) SWAT Vehicle

The Stockton Police Department of California selected LDV for this SWAT vehicle. Built on a Freightliner MT-55 forward control chassis, the vehicle features a CUMMINS B6.7L diesel engine with automatic transmission. We custom fabricated two flat floor slide-outs to maximize the available interior space. Simplified set up of the vehicle is handled by our Intel-I-Touch™ vehicle automation system which enables quick deployment on scene. A weatherproof exterior monitor compartment which houses a 55" Samsung Flip 2 interactive monitor was also integrated to the exterior. A complete emergency lighting and siren package as well as bright LED scene lights were also installed.

Inside, the vehicle has 30 gear storage lockers and a center collaboration table. The SWAT vehicle is equipped with customer supplied radios as well as chargers. A SecureIT gun storage system has also been installed. A 24" wall-mounted monitor has been installed on the front wall along with a magnetic closure pocket door for privacy and covert operations. Blackout curtains have also been included for the front cab windows. Dual roll up doors with access to the rifle storage compartments are integrated into the body. Custom fabricated aluminum cabinets for additional storage have been added.

Electric power is supplied by an Onan Commercial Quiet diesel generator within a custom fabricated housing. Dual ducted low profile rooftop A/C units with wall thermostat keep the interior cool. A full vehicle surge suppression system protects the vehicle's electronics.
