Stockton Police Department of California recently took delivery of this new hostage negotiation vehicle (HNT). Built on a Ford E-450 Cutaway chassis, the HNT vehicle features a 7.3L gasoline engine with electronic 6-speed automatic transmission. The all aluminum dry van body has a weatherproof exterior monitor compartment integrated to the curbside. Bright LED tripod light poles are included for after hours operations. Entry into the vehicle is by curbside swing out door with electric step. The vehicle setup is simplified thanks to our Intel-I-Touch™ vehicle automation touch panels. A large screen is installed just inside the side entry door while localized 3" mini panels are installed in the cab area and exterior workstation.
Inside, the vehicle features two workstations each with a 32" high resolution display monitor. Counter tops are durable laminate. Custom fabricated aluminum gear storage cabinets and a closet are also part of the design. Adjustable shelves are included in the closet. A magnetic closure pocket door segregates the rear interrogation room from the front work room. A small electronics rack houses the vehicle's equipment. Undercabinet LED lighting is also installed. A multi-function printer/copier is also included.
The rear room is utilized for hostage negotiation operations. There are dual fixed bench seats and a center work table with access for the HNT equipment. Magnetic surface dry erase white boards are also installed. A 43" high resolution display is wall mounted on the rear wall. A vandal resistant dome network camera with audio can be accessed through the network.
An Onan Commercial Quiet 7kW gas generator supplies the vehicle with plenty of electric power. A full vehicle surge suppression system is also installed. Dual low profile rooftop A/C units with wall mounted thermostat keep the interior cool. A complete emergency lighting and siren package has also been installed along with bright LED scene lighting.
