SRMI (WI) Mobile Audio Center

This mobile audio testing vehicle was built for SRMI in Wisconsin. The vehicle is built on a 22ft. Freightliner MT-55 forward control chassis and features a Cummins ISB 6.7L 260HP diesel engine with an Allison automatic transmission. The vehicle is equipped with rear air suspension. The body is all aluminum for corrosion resistance and features a curbside  self-closing entry door. A manual step makes access into the vehicle convenient and easy. Parking the vehicle is simplified with a color back-up camera system. A colorful wrap on the outside of the vehicle grabs attentions. Dual extreme duty storage compartments were integrated into the body. One houses a shore power cord reel. The vehicle is equipped with a leveling system as well to stabilize it on site.

Inside the vehicle, there are two comfortable adjustable driver and passenger seats. The overhead bulkhead contains the control panels for setting up the vehicle on site. The front interior room is a check-in and waiting area complete with fixed bench seating with underseat storage. Five sliding windows with screens allow additional natural light and air flow into the interior. Two of the windows are egress. Storage cabinets are custom built solid Oak in white washed finish. Counter tops throughout the vehicle are durable laminate. There is also a single flip-down work surface. A custom fabricated magnetic dry erase white board was also built and installed. A single wall mount monitor bracket was installed near the entry door for a customer-supplied monitor and we prewired the interior for it as well. The rear of the vehicle contains four (4) customer-supplied noise barrier hearing booths with bench seating and testing equipment. A custom fabricated magnetic-closure pocket door with window was integrated for privacy.

Electric power is supplied to the vehicle courtesy of an Onan Commercial Quiet 8kW generator housed within a custom fabricated housing. All AC electrical systems are protected by a full-vehicle surge suppression system. Dual low profile rooftop A/C units with wall thermostat handle the cooling of the interior and 2 direct discharge furnaces handle heating.
