Sparrow Mobile Health

The Sparrow Health System chose a 38ft. LDV coach for their new mobile medical vehicle. The unit is powered by a Ford Triton V-10 (gas) and has a 5-speed automatic transmission. Inside, the vehicle features four pocket doors for privacy and to divide the interior space into patient areas. Front and rear patient exam rooms are open and spacious complete with exam table, nurse's work areas and custom fabricated aluminum cabinetry. The vehicle also features an on-board lavatory with pressurized water system with a 2.5 gallon electric hot water heater. The vehicle is Michigan-weather ready with heated water tanks and insulated plumbing throughout. The vehicle also has fixed bench seating with removable cushions for additional storage as well as locking file cabinets under the bench. Custom fabricated aluminum cabinets with under cabinet LED lighting through the vehicle provide ample storage. For durability, Sparrow Health selected solid surface countertops for all work surfaces. A host of customer-supplied medical equipment was integrated into the vehicle as well including the two exam tables, two patient scales, two task stools, Welch Allyn® Diagnostic machines and a medical refrigerator. CAT6 wiring and jacks were integrated through the vehicle.
