The Smithfield Police Department chose a Ford F-550 regular cab gas chassis with a 7.3L V8 engine and a 10-speed automatic transmission with overdrive for their new command center. The vehicle features a custom dry van body with our in-house fabricated Extreme Duty body storage compartments added for gear storage. A weatherproof exterior monitor compartment has been added with a high resolution display. We fitted a non-locking telescoping rear mast with perimeter surveillance camera equipment as well. Telescoping LED light poles are also included. A complete emergency lighting and siren package has also been installed along with bright LED scene lighting.

Inside, the command center has three workstations, each with a spider base task chair and a high resolution display monitor. Commercial grade aluminum cabinetry has been installed throughout. A magnetic soft close pocket door separates the front work room from the rear conference area. We built and installed magnetic surface dry erase white boards as well. A small electronics rack houses the installed equipment. We prewired and installed the communications radios as well. A cab pass through is also part of the interior. A galley with microwave and refrigerator is also included. Custom fixed bench seating is part of the rear conference room.

A low profile rooftop A/C unit keeps the mobile command center cool in the summer. A direct discharge furnace is also installed for heating the interior. A powerful liquid cooled generator supplies plenty of electric power to the vehicle.
