The San Francisco P.D.'s mobile command center includes a 300HP engine and Allison 2500 EVS automatic transmission with PTO provision. An LDV flat-floor slide-out room has also been integrated into the vehicle’s body to increase the interior space in the front conference area.
The interior includes a front conference area with seating for up to six. To keep the aisle open, a fixed conference table has been added in front of curbside fixed bench seating with removable cushions for additional storage. On the opposite wall, a stowable conference table can be set up in front of the streetside fixed bench seating. A single corner workstation includes multiple monitors
With vehicle access in the center, the forward area can be kept quiet and contained while communication workstations and the galley are accessible to the outside. The center also includes a galley kitchen complete with fridge, microwave, and sink as well as a lavatory for comfort and convenience. An electronics rack has also been installed. In the rear of the vehicle are four workstations with monitors, custom-fabricated cabinets with dry erase surfaces, communications radios, an electronics rack, printer on slide-out tray, and telephones.
The exterior features telescoping LED tripod lights for illuminating a scene during night operations. Two awnings have been installed on the curbside of the vehicle to cover the entryway and exterior workstation. This exterior workstation includes a TV monitor, telephone, power outlets, and network jacks so those stationed outside can receive the same critical information as those inside. To ensure the vehicle sits level while deployed, a four point one touch leveling system has been installed. For rooftop access, a swing out and down ladder has been installed on the rear of the vehicle between the two telescoping masts with camera system.
