Russ Neimann's new 20ft. Freightliner MT-55 is awesome! This all-aluminum construction with a setback entry door features a Cummins 6.7L engine, 2200 HS Allison automatic transmission, air brakes and an air suspension. To keep the store safe while the vehicle is parked, an alarm system has been installed and a security gate can be deployed to separate the cab from the store area.
The L-shaped desk features a panel with red lacing for display space, 18" drawer stack, white board, and a window that provides natural light. A black oak 22" single repair stack sits across from the workstation. LDV's 5-shelf interior has been added to the passenger and driver side of the vehicle as well as banks of VersaFlex drawers. Overstock bins also provide additional space for storing different inventory as needed. Russ chose to include an air tool ladder in its original color. Also at the rear of the vehicle is a red socket center with six drawers. Loncoin flooring has been used for durability. Red lacing has also been used on the ceiling for displaying and storing screwdrivers, wrenches, and more single pieces of inventory.
HVAC is handled by a 53,000 BTU engine-driven A/C with rooftop mounted condensor, 110 volt 15,000 BTU roof top A/C with Heat Pack, and a 12,000 BTU diesel fired furnace. The single rear door is complemented by a 2,000lb. all-aluminum lift gate to assist with loading and unloading of heavy inventory.
