The Roseville Police Department in California recently took delivery of their new mobile command center. Their truck is built on a Freightliner MT-55 forward control chassis with an all aluminum body and features a CUMMINS B6.7L diesel engine with 260HP and an Allison 2200EVS automatic transmission. We integrated a single in-house fabricated flat floor slide-out to maximize the available interior space. The floorplan is unique in that it features a rear lavatory with an exterior entry door and a flip down aluminum step. To stabilize the vehicle while deployed, a vehicle leveling system has been installed. Our exclusive Intel-I-Touch™ touchscreen vehicle automation system has been installed to simplify the setup of the vehicle. A weatherproof exterior workstation has also been installed with a 50" high resolution display monitor. A complete emergency lighting and siren package has been installed along with bright LED scene lighting. A digital HDTV antenna and an HDMI matrix switcher are also included. We prewired and installed a total of 8 communication radios as well.
Inside, the floorplan consists of a front conference and work room. The center table is stowable when needed. A flip down bench seat has also been added for staff. A 50" high resolution display monitor is installed on the curbside interior wall. A large magnetic surface dry erase white board is also part of the interior. We also fitted a sliding egress window for safety. The center of the vehicle houses a large electronics rack and a slide-out printer tray. Customer fabricated aluminum cabinets provide gear storage. Overhead cabinets feature dry erase writing surface. Two additional workstations are also included. Magnetic soft close pocket doors provide privacy when needed. The rear room is home to another sitting workstation as well as a stand up workstation. A wall mounted 27" display monitor is also included. Counter tops throughout the interior are durable laminate.
The lavatory has a pressurized water supply system along with fresh and waster water tanks. Three ducted low profile rooftop A/C units with wall thermostat handle the cooling duties. Two electic wall mount heaters provide heat when needed. Plenty of electric power is supplied by a 20kW liquid-cooled diesel generator with a high mount exhaust pipe to route expelled gases above the roof. All of the installed electronics are protected by a full vehicle surge suppression system.
