We recently completed this mobile dental vehicle for the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of Ozarks, Missouri. The unit is built on a Freightliner MT-55 forward control chassis and features an all aluminum body construction and a bright and colorful wrap. To stabilize the truck when deployed, a vehicle leveling system has been installed. The dental unit also has a wheelchair lift integrated into the body for accessibility. Sliding windows have also been added, two are egress. Entry into the vehicle is by curbside entry door.
Inside, the vehicle has two patient rooms. The front of the vehicle has a workstation with custom aluminum cabinetry. Magnetic closure pocket doors are utilized throughout for privacy. The front patient room has a dental exam chair, custom aluminum cabinets and a sink. We also installed customer-supplied equipment. The center of the vehicle features a check in desk with spider base task chair and a fixed bench seat to be used as a waiting area. The rear patient room has another dental exam chair, corner sink and additional storage cabinetry. Counter tops are solid surface throughout. Each patient room has a 19" LED display monitor which can display video from the installed Blu-Ray disc player.
Additional features include a galley with microwave and refrigerator. A pressurized water supply system is also installed. HVAC duties are handled by three ducted low profile A/C units, a wall mounted electric heater and 3 direct discharge furnaces. A powerful 25kW liquid-cooled diesel generator has also been installed. A full vehicle surge suppression system protects all of the installed electronics. A power retracting shore power cord reel is installed inside one of the exterior compartments. A perimeter camera system has been installed as well.
