Rochester Regional of New York just took delivery of this new mobile dental vehicle. Their new truck is 39ft. overall length and is built on a custom coach chassis with a 6.7L Cummins diesel engine and an Allison 2350 6-speed automatic transmission.
Rochester Regional's mobile dental vehicle is a rolling showpiece for what dentistry can do in a vehicle. Rochester elected to remove the front passenger seat to create a large front patient room complete with a a privacy curtain around the driver's seat area.
LDV prewired and installed the customer-supplied dental equipment in the vehicle including two patient chairs, an amalgam separator, Badger Dry Vac system, RAMVAC Osprey compressor, a TRAD Radius Delivery System, two ceiling mount lights and WiFi temperature/humidity sensors.
The layout of the vehicle is as follows: front patient room with pocket door for privacy, a central waiting area with café-style table and fixed bench seating, galley and 32" HDTV monitor and another rear patient room. Seating is custom fabricated benches with removable cushions for additional storage. Ample storage within the vehicle is provided by custom aluminum cabinetry. Two flip-down laminate work station counters provide additional workspace.
Rochester Regional's mobile dental vehicle has a pressurized water system and 2.5 gallon hot water heater. In the lavatory is a low-profile toilet, stainless steel sink with chrome sink hardware.
