Rick Randall’s 22ft. Freightliner MT-55 Tool Truck

Rick Randall’s new tool truck was built on a 22ft. Freightliner MT-55. This vehicle is powered by a 6.7L diesel 260HP Cummins engine and 2200 HS Allison automatic transmission with park pawl. This all-aluminum construction also features air brakes and air suspension. Chrome heated power mirrors, chrome bumper, and a plethora of LED lights finish off the exterior. On the rear is a single swing door which is perfect to use while loading and unloading inventory with the 2,000lb. all-aluminum auto open/close lift gate.

The inside of this tool truck features a ColorCore L-shaped desk with satin stainless steel laminate countertop, flip down printer access, small under desk shelf, and a trash can. Gray slatwall provides an easy way to change displays as needed depending on inventory. Some displays included are a black stain oak lighted knife case, ColorCore trimmed hammer rack, black socket center, air tool ladder, and slide-out pry bar display. VersaFlex shelves have been integrated into the LDV 5-shelf system with ColorCore faced shelves.

A glass front refrigerator has been installed next to the socket center. A central vacuum system has also been installed for convenience. HVAC is handled by a 53,000 BTU engine driven air conditioner, 110 volt 15,000 BTU roof top air conditioner, and a 65,000 BTU hot water heater. An interior DVR camera system provides extra security for the store portion of the vehicle.
