Quincy Police Department (MA) Mobile Command Center

Built on a Ford E-450 cutaway SD chassis, this mobile command center features a 7.3L 16 valve gasoline V8 engine with a TorqShift 6-speed automatic transmission and a custom dry van body. Entry into the vehicle is by swing out curbside entry door or dual swing out rear doors with an aluminum flip down rear step. The mobile command center is equipped with a complete emergency lighting and siren package.

Inside, the command center has three workstations in the front area, each with a 32" high resolution display monitor. Custom fabricated aluminum cabinetry with dry erase writing surface on the overhead cabinets are also utilized for gear storage. Magnetic surface dry erase white boards are utilized throughout as well. We installed a large closet with adjustable shelves for additional storage. The rear room can be used for conference or collaboration and has a removable center table and legs. Fixed bench seating is included. A large 43" wall mounted display monitor is also installed. A digital HDTV antenna has been installed on the roof.

An Onan Commercial Quiet 7kW gas generator has been installed to supply plenty of electric power to the vehicle. A full vehicle surge suppression system is installed to protect all of the vehicle's electronic systems. We prewired and made installation provisions for all of the customer supplied radios. A single low profile rooftop A/C unit has been installed to handle the cooling duties. Dual wall mount electric heaters warm the vehicle in the colder months.
