Pottawattamie EMA Mobile Command Center

This mobile command center is built on a Freightliner MT-55 forward control chassis with a 26,000lb. GVWR and features a CUMMINs B6.7L 260HP diesel engine with an Allison 2200 EVS automatic transmission. The all aluminum body features two of our in-house fabricated flat floor slide outs to maximize the available interior workspace. We added a vehicle leveling system to stabilize the command center when deployed. A weatherproof exterior monitor compartment was also added to the curbside exterior. Entry into the vehicle is by swing out curbside entry door. An interior/exterior PA system was also installed. A complete emergency lighting and siren system has also been installed. We integrated our Extreme Duty body storage compartments to provide additional gear storage. Our Intel-I-Touch™ vehicle automation system has been added to simplify the deployment of the command center on scene. A non-locking rear telescoping rear mast has been installed along with dual network IP cameras.

Inside, the mobile command center has a front conference room with fixed center table, flip down and fixed bench seating. The streetside interior wall has dual 55" high resolution display monitors. The curbside wall in the slide-out has a 43" high resolution display and a magnetic surface dry erase white board. We prewired the vehicle for the customer's communications radios as well. Custom fabricated aluminum cabinets are installed throughout the interior for storage. Overhead cabinets feature dry erase writing surface. Magnetic soft closure pocket doors provide privacy when needed.

The center of the vehicle features a galley with microwave, Keurig and a small refrigerator. A multi-function printer on a slide out tray is also part of the center area. A large electronics rack houses all of the installed electronics. A large storage closet with adjustable shelving is also included. The rear work room has three workstations, each with a spider base task chair and a 32" high resolution display monitor.

HVAC duties are handled by three low profile rooftop A/C units and two direct discharge diesel-fired furnaces with individual thermostat control. A powerful 20kW liquid-cooled diesel generator supplies plenty of electric power to the vehicle. A full vehicle surge suppression system is installed to protect all of the installed electronics. A digital HDTV antenna is roof mounted as well. A 4K HDMI 8X8 matrix switcher handles the video distribution from the mast cameras and more.
