Philadelphia Police Department of Pennsylvania recently took delivery of this new mobile command center. Built on a customer-supplied Ford E-450 chassis, the command center features all aluminum body construction and a rear hitch with bike rack. We installed a 3-camera rear view system to assist with parking the vehicle on scene. The exterior features complete emergency lights and siren package, bright LED scene lighting and a custom fabricated extreme duty body storage compartment. A weatherproof cable passthrough is included on the streetside exterior.
Inside, the command center has a front work room with two workstations. Each workstation has a spider base task chair and there are three high resolution display monitors wall-mounted. Counter tops are durable laminate. Custom aluminum cabinetry with undercabinet lighting is also installed. Overhead cabinets feature dry erase writing surface. The center of the vehicle features an electronics rack and a multi-function printer. A customer-supplied HAVIS docking station is installed on the counter top. We also included a galley with refrigerator. Magnetic surface dry erase white boards are also installed. The rear conference room has a 50" high resolution display monitor installed on the rear wall. Monitors can display a variety of video sources including the perimeter camera system. An HDMI matrix switcher is included for changing video sources efficiently. Seating in the rear room is provided by custom fabricated fixed bench seats. There is a large floor to ceiling storage closet installed as well. A rechargeable Streamlight flashlight bank is installed over the entry door for easy access.
Electrical demands are met thanks to an Onan Commercial Quiet 7kW gas generator installed in a custom generator housing. All electronics equipment is protected by a full vehicle surge suppression system. CAT6 network wiring and jacks are utilized throughout. An automatic horizontal arm awning is installed on the curbside exterior for shade.
