Oakland Police Department (CA) Mobile Command Centers

The Oakland Police Department recently took delivery of these two new mobile command centers. These command vehicles are built on Ford F59 chassis and features 7.3L V8 gasoline engines with TorqShift 6-speed automatic transmissions. The all aluminum body on each truck has extreme duty body storage compartments for additional gear storage. Entry into the vehicles is by curbside or rear entry doors. The rear bumper on each truck has a custom flip down aluminum step. We equipped the vehicles with color backup camera systems to ease parking maneuvers. Bright LED scene lighting as well as a complete emergency lighting and siren package has also been installed on each vehicle. The is also an exterior monitor compartment with a 50" QLED display monitor. Inside, there is a front conference and collaboration room with fixed and flip down bench seating for staff. High resolution display monitors are wall mounted on each wall. Magnetic surface dry erase white boards have also been included in the command centers. A fixed center conference table is also part of the interior layout. Counter tops are durable laminate. A soft closing magnetic pocket door has been added for privacy in each vehicle. The center of the vehicles feature a galley complete with a microwave, a refrigerator and a Keurig coffee maker. Custom aluminum cabinetry provides storage. A small electronics rack houses the installed equipment. A multi-function printer on a slide out tray is also included in each vehicle. The rear of the vehicles feature a work room with four workstations each and a 32" display monitor. We prewired and made installation provisions on each vehicle for a future rear mounted mast. We also prewired the trucks for communications radios. An HDTV antenna is roof-mounted on each truck as well. CAT6 network wiring and jacks are utilized throughout each command center. A 15kW gasoline generator has been installed in each truck along with full vehicle surge suppression systems. Dual low profile rooftop A/C units on each vehicle with wall thermostats handle the cooling duties along with electric heaters.
