New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission Mobile Agency Unit Retrofit

The New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission Mobile Agency Unit was built in 2017 and came back to us for some updates! The vehicle features a Freightliner MT-55 forward control chassis, all aluminum body, dual LDV-fabricated flat floor slide-outs, our Intel-I-Touch™ vehicle automation system, vehicle leveling and a powerful 15kW diesel generator to supply plenty of electric power to the unit. The exterior of the truck also has two large awnings to provide shade in the summer. Entry is courtesy of a pull out aluminum stair cassette or included wheelchair lift. Custom fabricated aluminum cabinets are included for storage. Solid surface counter tops have been utilized for durability. A custom fabricated weatherproof exterior monitor compartment was also included in the original build which houses a 40" LED Smart display monitor. CAT6 network wiring and jacks have also been utilized throughout. Custom blue backdrop photo background were also installed for on-board photos to be taken of vehicle motorists.

Inside, there are three workstations with privacy walls, flip down bench seating, bright LED interior lighting and more to function as a stand alone MVC unit.

LDV's retrofit service performed basic inspections on all of the components, vehicle structure, locks, lights, electronics, all chassis fluids and more before any work began. We installed a new blackout curtain for the side entry door. We also updated the Intel-I-Touch™ programming to ensure worry free operation. We had prepared the roof originally for a future satellite dish which we installed during this retrofit service. We also serviced the vehicle leveling system.
