We built this dual purpose mobile command center and rehabilitation vehicle for Montgomery (Alabama) Fire & Rescue. The unique vehicle will be used as a command post and a spot for firefighters to get a cup of coffee, something cold to drink and a place to warm-up while on a lengthy call. The vehicle is built on a 30ft. Freightliner MT-55 chassis with a Cummins ISB 300hp diesel engine.
INTERIOR FEATURES The vehicle features a single flat-floor slide out room for maximum interior space to accommodate several workstations. The truck has six LED display monitors complete with computer connections, CAT6 network cabling, HDMI ports, upper and lower storage cabinets, Wilsonart laminate countertops and more. A color back-up camera system is installed. In the rear of the vehicle, two Samsung 40" LED Smart TVs are mounted to the curb-side interior walls, a stowable table with bench seating complete with seat belts and a functional galley kitchen area with microwave, on-board water and a Keurig™ coffee maker.
EXTERIOR FEATURES Outside, there is a generous retractable awning to provide shade, a roll-up storage compartment and a huge slide-out Pelican™ cooler that supplies cold beverages as needed. A light tower with a WONWOO IP camera provides illumination and video surveillance around the vehicle after hours. A complete emergency lighting and siren package was included in the build as well. A vehicle leveling system can be used to level and stabilize the vehicle on uneven surfaces.
