Montgomery County (VA) Mobile Command Center

Montgomery County in Virginia chose an LDV stock series for their new mobile command center! This Ford F59 stripped chassis features a 6.7L 3V SOHC EFI Triton V10 gasoline engine and a 5-Speed TorqShift Automatic engine with OD. It features one industry-exclusive flat-floor slide-out room extension to maximize the interior space for staff inside the vehicle. Flashing warning lights have been added to the slide-out for additional safety as well. The slide-out and other vehicle systems can be controlled by LDV's exclusive Intel-I-Touch™ vehicle automation system which can deploy these systems with the touch of a button.

A conference area can be found at the front of the vehicle complete with flip-down bench seating, dual 43" LED TVs, framed magnetic dry erase boards, fixed bench seating with removable cushions for additional storage space. There is also a conference table with a flip-down leaf and grommets to pass cables through. A flush pocket door on a heavy-duty aluminum track creates separation between the front and rear areas of the vehicle.

The center of the vehicle features custom-fabricated aluminum cabinets with adjustable shelving, an electronics rack, slide-out tray for a customer-supplied printer, and a galley area. The galley includes a 2.7 cu. ft. refrigerator, a coffee maker, and a microwave. Laminate countertops have been used throughout for durability. Four workstations complete the rear work area of the vehicle. Each workstation features an overhead cabinet with dry erase writing surface, network connections, and a spider-base task chair. The two curbside workstations share a 32" LED TV monitor as well and feature an electronics rack between the overhead cabinets.

Outside, prewire and installation provisions have been made for a customer-installed mast on the rear. Supplying electric power to the vehicle when needed is a 15-kW liquid-cooled diesel generator in a custom-fabricated compartment. HVAC is handled by two low-profile air conditioners and two wall mount 5,120 Btu/hr electric heater. A heavy-duty vehicle leveling system has been installed as well to ensure the truck sits level at any scene. For rooftop access, a 15" ladder has been installed to the rear as well.
