The Mobile Fire-Rescue Department of Alabama just took delivery of their new mobile command and rehabilitation vehicle for their department. Built on a Ford F59 chassis, the truck features all aluminum body construction and a 7.3L V8 engine with 350HP and a 6-speed automatic transmission. The chassis also includes a Class III receive hitch with digital electronic brake controller. We fabricated a rear flip down aluminum step on the rear bumper. A complete emergency lighting and siren package has also been installed. An locking exterior aluminum roll up door provides storage for 20 SCBA tanks. The exterior is also equipped with dual power retracting 18ft. awnings. A 95qt Pelican Elite Cooler is included in the exterior curbside compartment to provide cold water to staff on scene.
Inside, the truck has a front work room with dual workstations, each with a 32" display monitor. Two spider base task chairs are also provided. Counter tops are durable laminate throughout the interior. Custom fabricated aluminum cabinets provide storage for gear. A small electronics rack is also included. We prewired and installed communications radios as well. A magnetic closure pocket door provides privacy. The rear of the vehicle features fixed bench seating with seat belts for staff. The seat bottoms are removable for additional storage. There is a stowable center conference table as well. Magnetic surface dry erase white boards are installed on the streetside interior. The curbside wall features two large 43" display monitors. The rear has a galley with microwave, refrigerator and Keurig® coffee maker. There is also an electric galley water supply system with stainless steel sink. We have also included a digital HDTV antenna also with an HDMI matrix switcher. CAT6 network wiring and jacks have been utilized throughout. A powerful 12kW liquid cooled gasoline generator supplies electric power to the vehicle and a full vehicle surge suppression system protects the vehicle's electronics.
