Medivan of Wisconsin recently took delivery of this new mobile audiology lab. Built on a Freightliner MT-55 forward control chassis, the vehicle features an all aluminum body with a CUMMINS B6.7L diesel engine with an Allison 2200HS automatic transmission. Entry into the vehicle is by curbside self close door. A manual step eases entry. The front cab area and the rear lab area separated by a floor to ceiling divider wall. Custom fabricated exterior storage compartments are also part of the design. Bright LED scene lights are also installed on the audiology lab.
Inside, the audiology lab features front and rear rooms with audio testing booths (6 in total). Flush magnetic closure pocket doors separate the front and rear testing rooms. Custom fabricated aluminum cabinets provide ample storage space. Overhead cabinets feature dry erase writing surfaces. There is also a customer-supplied blood draw chair in the center room. A black laminate shelving unit is installed on the curbside interior wall.
Dual ducted low profile rooftop A/C units keep the interior cool in the summer. We also ducted the cooled air to the audio testing booths. A direct discharge diesel furnace provides the heating to the interior. A full vehicle surge suppression system has also been installed. Interior lighting is LED. A vehicle leveling system has also been installed.
