Med Centro (PR) Mobile Medical Clinic Unit

The 2020 45ft. mobile medical vehicle was built for Med Centro of Puerto Rico. The vehicle is built on a 45ft. Freightliner XCR chassis with a commercial shell and features a Cummins L9 diesel engine with 450HP and an Allison 3000 automatic transmission without PTO provision. The body has an integrated 42" wide wheelchair access door and a Braun UVL Series wheelchair lift. The lift stows in a hidden cassette below the door. Entry into the vehicle is by a curbside entry door with a power retracting step and a custom fold out handrail. LED scene light was integrated into the body as well as emergency lighting. We also installed dual power retractable awnings. There is also a rooftop access ladder installed on the rear of the vehicle for servicing the equipment on the roof. A vehicle leveling system was installed to stabilize the truck once at a stop.

Inside the vehicle, there is a front meeting area with a stowable conference table. Med Centro's vehicle also features a front lavatory with pressurized water supply system. There are two exam rooms with stainless steel sinks and faucets, operator's stools, laminate counter tops and exam tables. A host of Welch Allyn medical equipment was also installed to make the exam/patient rooms function just as a brick and mortar clinic would. Bright LED interior lighting is also included.

The vehicle features our exclusive GreenPower™ multi-source power plant system. Electric power is supplied by rooftop solar panels with a smart solar charge monitor as well a 25kW liquid-cooled diesel generator when needed. A full vehicle surge suppression system is installed to protect all of the electrical equipment. Four low profile rooftop A/C units keep the vehicle cool in the warm Puerto Rican sun.
