Logistics Health Inc. Mobile Medical Vehicle

VEHICLE OVERVIEW

Logistics Health Inc. chose LDV to build their new mobile medical vehicle for their organization. Built on a customer-supplied Peterbilt 579 chassis, the vehicle is equipped with a Braun electric-hydraulic wheelchair lift and wheelchair access door. To assist with vehicle entry, pull-out aluminum steps have been fabricated and are stored in a narrow profile cassette.

The inside features a spacious front area to accommodate customer-installed medical equipment including an X-ray machine and exam table as well as customer-supplied monitors. Prewire and installation provisions have been made for these features as well. An audiology testing booth has already been installed. At the back of the vehicle is a flip-up counter to provide a workspace for staff who are with patients utilizing the booth along with a doctor's stool. Dual FRP covered pocket doors provide privacy for patients and staff when needed. Fixed bench seating provides seating as well as additional storage with the use of removable cushions.

RJ-45 Cat6 computer network jacks have been utilized for network connectivity. A flip-down countertop area has been installed for convenience. Solid surface countertops have been used throughout the vehicle for durability. For convenience, a galley area has been included as well as an onboard lavatory. The galley includes a 2.7 cu. ft. refrigerator, sink, and paper towel holder. In the lavatory is a low-profile toilet, paper towel holder, sink, wastebasket, and mirror. Both utilize the pressurized water system that has been installed. Custom-fabricated aluminum cabinets can be found throughout the vehicle for storage space. Overhead cabinets also feature dry erase writing surfaces as well.

The exterior is finished off with graphics including a colorful wrap along the bottom half of the vehicle. HVAC duties are handled by three ducted low-profile air conditioners and two 12,000-16,000 Btu/hr direct discharge diesel-fired furnaces. A 12-kW generator provides electric power to the vehicle when needed and has been installed in a custom-fabricated all-aluminum compartment. To ensure the vehicle is level while at a stop, a four-point fully automatic one-touch leveling system has been installed. Parking is made easy with the use of the color back-up camera system. For additional storage outside the vehicle, our extreme duty storage compartments have been integrated to keep stowed items safe from any inclement weather.
