VEHICLE OVERVIEW

This practical EOD response truck built on a Ford F-550 XL regular cab diesel truck chassis includes a 6.7L 300HP diesel engine and TorqShift 6-speed automatic transmission with overdrive. Walk through access has been made from the cab to the body of the vehicle. A manually operated exterior entrance step has been installed by the curbside entry door.

The interior features a workstation with monitor, dry erase board, overhead cabinet, and verhead electronics rack. A ramp and plentiful storage for a robot make this all-purpose unit a great equipment, mini-command and EOD response vehicle. Aluminum box pan shelves provide ample storage with satin anodized aluminum roll-up doors to transport the equipment safely. Towards the rear of the vehicle are storage areas utilizes cargo mesh netting for equipment storage as well.

The exterior also features a solid color awning that provides coverage to those working outside or entering and exiting the vehicle. A rear-mounted ladder provides rooftop access. HVAC needs are handled by a low-profile air conditioner and 5,120 BTU/hr electric heater. When electric needs to be supplied to the vehicle, a 7.5-kW 120 volt AC generator has been mounted in a custom-fabricated all-aluminum compartment.
