Lenexa Police Department (KS) Equipment Vehicle

Lenexa Police Department (KS) had us design and build this custom equipment vehicle to add to their fleet. The vehicle is built on a Ford E-450 commercial cutaway two wheel drive chassis and features a dry van body. On the exterior, the vehicle has custom roll-up equipment access doors with adjust aluminum box pan shelves inside for gear. We integrated a slide-out drawer in the curbside center compartment.  We also custom fabricated an aluminum flip-down rear step on the bumper. Inside the cab, we custom fabricated a center console to house the customer-supplied communications radios and the emergency lighting and siren controller. A color backup camera system makes parking maneuvers a snap. Bright LED scene lights were added for night operations. Inside the vehicle there is access to all of the aluminum box pan shelves. Equipment is secured with cargo netting with 1/4 turn thumb screws. Two customer supplied day boxes were added as well. Custom aluminum cabinets were added to the interior of the vehicle as well. A SecureIT gun securement system was added to the interior as well. Versatie tracking was installed on the front wall of the interior.
