Kurt Lehnert’s 22ft. Freightliner MT-55 Tool Truck

Kurt Lehnert’s new tool truck was built on a 22ft. Freightliner MT-55. This all-aluminum construction features a setback entry door and is powered by a 6.7L diesel 260HP Cummins engine and 2200 HS Allison automatic transmission with park pawl. It also includes air brakes and air suspension. The exterior of the vehicle also has chrome heated power mirrors, a chrome bumper, and a single rear swing door with a door prop rod. This works well in tandem with the 2,000lb. auto open close all-aluminum lift gate.

Displays found inside the vehicle include a ColorCore hammer display, air tool display, diagnostic display, and a torque wrench display. These are used in combination with the LDV 5-shelf interior which feature ColorCore faced shelves and black fixed stanchion supports. A bank of VersaFlex drawers has also been integrated into this area for additional inventory space. The hammer display sits above a double 22″ repair stack with an aluminum top and multiple drawers. The rear of the vehicle also has four areas of adjustable shelving that can adapt as inventory needs change.

Assisting with parking duties is a color back-up camera mounted on an offset bracket. For HVAC, a 53,000 BTU engine driven air conditioner and 65,000 BTU hot water heater help to keep things comfortable.
