Kenosha Public Library Bookmobile

Kenosha Public Library wanted a smaller, more nimble vehicle to make daily book deliveries throughout their community. The small but spacious vehicle is fuel efficient and non-CDL required to operate. Built on a Ford Transit 350 Cargo Van chassis, this agile vehicle features a high roof design for exterior interior space, 3.5L EcoBoost V6 (gasoline) engine with a 6-speed automatic transmission. A Tommy Gate® liftgate with a 1,300lb. lifting capacity was included to making loading and unloading the bookmobile a snap. Acore® modular aluminum bookshelves and four single-sided bookcarts were selected for their durability inside the vehicle and were treated to custom powder coat. Custom fabricated aluminum cabinets were installed for extra storage. The upper cabinets feature dry erase writing surfaces. The countertops are durable laminate. Interior lighting is all bright LED.
