Built on a Freightliner M2 112 Conventional chassis crew cab, the Kane County Sheriff's Office of Illinois Bomb/EOD vehicle features all aluminum body construction with dual LDV-fabricated flat floor slide-outs. Simplified set up of the vehicle on scene is handled by our Intel-I-Touch™ vehicle automation touch panels in both the cab and work area of the vehicle. The vehicle is equipped with a leveling system. We also integrated a weatherproof exterior workstation in the curbside slide-out which houses a 55" QLED 4K Smart TV. There is also a small 3" localized touch panel in the exterior workstation. We integrated our Extreme Duty body storage compartments as well for additional gear. A complete emergency lighting and siren package has also been installed.
Kane County Sheriff elected to add both an electric pneumatic wheelchair lift as well as a 2,000lb. auto open/close liftgate on the rear of the vehicle with a special swing out rear door. A generous power retracting awning was also installed on the curbside of the vehicle for shade. We installed a hybrid video recorder and a Data Video HDR-1 portable USB recorder. There is an HDTV antenna as well as an Extron HDMI matrix switcher. CAT6 network wiring and jacks are utilized throughout. A Cradlepoint cellular router has also been installed. Adjustable aluminum box pan shelves with mesh cargo netting are included in the interior. Four (4) interior workstations with 32" LED monitors and spider base task chairs are in the front work area of the interior. Counter tops are durable laminate. Custom aluminum cabinets are also installed. The interior lighting can be switched from standard to night mode through our Intel-I-Touch. VersaTie track has been installed in the rear to secure their robot and equipment. ATF-spec Day Boxes have also been included.
