Take a look! Junior Alvarez chose a 20ft. Freightliner MT-55 for his new tool truck! The vehicle is powered by a Cummins 6.7L engine and a 2200 HS Allison automatic transmission. It also features air brakes and an air suspension. To enter the vehicle, a heavy duty electric step has been installed. For security, there is a sliding, lockable door installed in the bulkhead and an alarm system has been added as well.
Junior integrated an L-shaped ColorCore workstation to provide a dedicated workspace for himself. This area features a locking cash drawer, three drawers, wastebasket and a flip-down drawer for easy printer access. A ColorCore single repair stack with a broken tools bin, carpeted hammer rack, vise grip, and a positive/negative test panel sits across from the workstation. There are three toolbox areas (90", 62", 42") with three removable ColorCore shelves over the 42" area and ColorCore split top panels over the 90" and 62" areas. Loncoin flooring was used for durability. A compressed air test line has been added to the workstation area for convenience. The promo shelving found at the back of the vehicle also includes socket rails for additional display of sockets and other small pieces of inventory.
A 2,000lb. all-aluminum lift gate with integrated cart stop and auto open/close feature has been added to the rear. On the rear door inside the vehicle is a jack display. HVAC is handled by a 53,000 BTU engine driven A/C unit with a rooftop mounted condensor and a 110 volt 15,000 BTU roof top A/C unit with Heat Pack. Prep for a fuel fired furnace and LP heat has also been completed. To assist with parking duties, a color backup camera system has been installed.
