Jonathan Moser's new 20ft. tool truck is a beauty! Built on a Freightliner MT-55, it is powered by a 6.0L HP gas engine and features a 2200 HS Allison automatic transmission with park pawl and hydrualic brakes. An expanding, lockable metal security gate can be found at the front of the store, separating it from the cab area. There is also an alarm system to help keep the vehicle safe while parked. Also found in the cab area is an overhead oak knife display with LED lights.
An oak L-shaped workstation with a red mahogany stained 22" wide drawer stack provides a dedicated work area. Next to this is a double 22" wide repair stack with oak face-frame and red mahogany stain. Above this is a custom oak individual hole hammer rack. LDV's 5-shelf interior has been used at the rear of the vehicle and include magnetic socket rails for additional display space. Jonathan also chose to integrate a mobile retail center into the 44" toolbox area, which gives him the flexibility to display a toolbox or use the area as an additional display. Gray slatwall has been utilized throughout the vehicle, creating even more display area for his inventory.
HVAC is handled by a 53,000 BTU engine-driven A/C with rooftop mounted condensor and a 65,000 BTU hot water heater with shut off valve. Six 6volt lead-acid batteries have been mounted in their own all-aluminum exterior compartment. To assist with loading and unloading of heavy inventory, Jonathan chose a 2,000lb. all-aluminum auto open/close lift gate. A color back-up camera system has been mounted on an offset bracket to provide visibility around the liftgate when parking the vehicle.
