Imperial Calcasieu Health (LA) Mobile Health Unit

Imperial Calcasieu Health just took delivery of their new mobile medical vehicle. Built on a Freightliner MT-55 forward control chassis, this medical vehicle features CUMMINS B6.7L 260HP diesel engine with automatic transmission and NO CDL REQUIRED to operate! The truck features all aluminum body construction and full vehicle colorful wrap. We integrated a single LDV-fabricated slide out for increased interior workspace. Accessibility into the vehicle is provided by a Braun Century Series 2 electric-hydraulic wheelchair lift. Extreme Duty body storage compartments have also been added. A vehicle leveling system is installed to stabilize the truck when set up.

Inside, the medical vehicle features a front work room with three workstations. There is also a fixed bench seat for a staff member behind the front driver and passenger seats. A galley with microwave and refrigerator are also included. Spider base task chairs are utilized for staff members. Blackout curtains are provided for all front cab windows for privacy. Three soft close magnetic pocket doors offer privacy throughout the vehicle. The center of the interior features a fixed bench seat waiting area along with a workstation with spider base task stool for a staff member. A medical grade refrigerator is also installed. Custom fabricated aluminum cabinets offer durability and additional storage space. Solid surface counter tops are also included. A lavatory on the streetside interior provides convenience. Features include a dry flush toilet and sink with pressurized water supply.

The rear room of the medical vehicle is a patient examination room. An exam table, workstation with spider base task stool and sink are part of the design. We wall mounted a Welch Allyn diagnostics equipment set on the curbside interior wall. Additional equipment includes a sharps container, paper towel holder and eye wash safety station.
