HSEMA Mobile Command Center

HSEMA recently took delivery of their new mobile command center. The vehicle is built on a Kenworth T370 conventional cab chassis and features a Paccar 350HP diesel engine with an Allison 3000 EVS 6-speed automatic transmission with PTO provision. The body is a custom all aluminum dry van body with four custom LDV-fabricated, flat-floor slide-outs for additional interior work area. Interior access is through a rear body door with a custom aluminum pull-out staircase that is self-contained in a custom compartment under the door. A custom aluminum handrail folds up from the body for safety.

INTERIOR The vehicle includes a custom fabricated console in the cab area for locating the siren controller. A color back-up camera system was also integrated to assist with parking maneuvers. The front area of the interior is a generous conference room complete with height-adjustable fixed center conference table, stowable spider base task chairs, flip-down bench seating, workstations with high resolution monitors and Dell computers. On the end wall is a wall-mounted 55" UHD 4K HDR LED Smart TV with the ability to display a variety of functions and video sources. Custom magnetic dry erase white boards were installed as well.

In the center of the vehicle are two electronics and network equipment racks with a slide-out printer tray. The rear of the vehicle has six additional workstations with spider base task chairs and high resolution 24" LED monitors. Solid surface counter tops with custom Lexan covers were selected for durability. A galley complete with microwave and refrigerator is included in the design along with a complete lavatory with pressurized water system. Custom aluminum cabinets offer storage and LED throughout creates a bright working environment. LDV's exclusive Intel-I-Touch™ vehicle automation touchscreen handles set-up, shut-down and all primary vehicle functions.

EXTERIOR The vehicle has a rear-mounted telescoping pneumatic mast with a 40ft. extended mast height. Mast-mounted equipment includes two dome network cameras with lightfinder technology paired with dual video decoders to transfer video signal throughout the vehicle. A custom LDV-fabricated weatherproof exterior workstation houses a large display monitor, Intel-I-Touch™ touchpad, dual USB outlet, GFCI outlet, HDMI input matrix, dual CAT6 network jacks and a jack for a network phone. HSEMA's mobile command center has several body storage compartments integrated into the body as well. On the roof is an auto-acquire satellite, three DirecTV commercial satellite receivers and a digital HDTV antenna + mount. The body has six integrated IP 720P perimeter cameras for situational awareness at all times.
