Grover Beach Police Department (CA) Mobile Command Center

Grover Beach Police recently took delivery of this new mobile command center! Built on a Ford F59 chassis, this vehicle features a 7.3L V8 gas engine with a 6-speed TorqShift automatic transmission. The all aluminum body has been fitted with one of our hand fabricated flat floor slide-outs to maximize the available interior workspace. We also installed a weatherproof exterior workstation with high resolution display monitor. Vehicle leveling jacks have also been installed to stabilize the vehicle on scene. LDV-built Extreme Duty body storage compartments are also integrated. Two LED tripod lights are included on the rear of the vehicle. A custom roll up storage compartment is included on the streetside of the vehicle for additional gear storage. Bright LED scene lights and a complete emergency lighting and siren package are also installed. Inside, the vehicle has a front conference room complete with fixed center table with fold down leaf. Two spider base task chairs are secured to the slide out when not in use. We also installed flip down bench seating for staff. Our Upholstery shop built the fixed conference table seating. Magnetic surface dry erase white boards are also included throughout the interior. The center of the vehicle features a small galley with microwave, refrigerator and Keurig® coffee maker. Custom aluminum cabinets provide ample gear storage. A single workstation with spider base task chair has customer-supplied communications radios and a high resolution display monitor. An electronics rack has also been installed. A multi-function copier-printer is also included. Blackout curtains are included for all cab area windows. We also installed a color backup camera system to make parking a snap. HVAC duties are handled by two low profile rooftop A/C units with wall thermostat. A powerful 12kW liquid cooled generator supplies plenty of electric power to the vehicle. A full vehicle surge suppression system protects all of the electrical systems and components. We also installed three customer supplied flash lights. An HDMI matrix switcher can send video signals to any of the installed displays.
