Georgia Emergency Management & Homeland Security Agency (EMHSA) just took delivery of their new mobile command center. The command vehicle is built on a Freightliner M2 106 2WD chassis and features an in-house manufactured aluminum body. We integrated a single flat floor slide-out to increase the available interior workspace. Our Intel-I-Touch™ vehicle automation touchscreen simplifies the deployment of the vehicle on scene. Localized 3" touch pads are installed within each room as well. A rear mounted pneumatic mast with perimeter surveillance camera equipment has been installed. We also installed a vehicle leveling system to stabilize the command center. Extreme Duty body storage compartments have been added for additional gear storage.
Inside, the command center has a front work room with four workstations and custom aluminum cabinetry. 32" high resolution display monitors are wall-mounted at each workstation and spider base task chairs provide the seating for staff members. Custom aluminum cabinetry offers room for gear. The overhead cabinets feature dry erase writing surface. A magnetic closure pocket door is utilized to provide privacy for the front room when needed.
The center of the vehicle features a large electronics rack with room for customer-supplied equipment. A large storage closet has also been added. A galley with microwave, refrigerator and Keurig coffee maker has also been included. The Intel-I-Touch touchpanel is located in this center area.
The rear conference room features flip down and fixed bench seating along with three spider base task chairs for staff. A large 55" high resolution display monitor is wall mounted to the rear wall. The streetside wall has dual 43" display monitors. The curbside wall has another 55" display along with magnetic surface dry erase white boards.
Three ducted low profile rooftop A/C units handle the cooling duties. Electric wall mount heaters are installed for cooler deployments. A 20kW liquid cooled diesel generator supplies plenty of electric power to the vehicle. A full vehicle surge suppression system protects all of the installed electronics.
