Gary Coleman’s 24ft. Freightliner MT-55 Tool Truck
This new 24ft. tool truck was built on a Freightliner MT-55 and features a 6.7L diesel 260HP Cummins engine and a 2200HS Allison automatic transmission with park pawl. It also features air brakes, an air suspension, Grover air horns, chrome heated power mirrors, and a chrome bumper. The single rear swing door can be used in conjunction with the 2,000lb. all-aluminum lift gate. Weather resistant aluminum storage boxes have been added for additional inventory storage.
Black slatwall is utilized throughout the interior, providing an easy way to reconfigure displays when inventory changes. Displays such as two sliding displays, a carpeted hammer rack, a jack display, small oak knife display, red socket center and air tool displays are found on the inside as well. White pegboard with lacing has been added to the ceiling for additional storage and display as well. The ColorCore L-shaped workstation has a white board, printer shelf, pull out writing surface, glass front refrigerator, lockable metal cash drawer, under desk shelf, and a trash can. A broken tools chute has also been integrated into this area.
Providing electric power to the tool truck when needed is a 7.5KW diesel generator has been mounted in an all-aluminum sound attenuated enclosure. HVAC is handled by a 60,000 BTU engine driven air conditioner and two 110 volt 15,000 BTU roof top air conditioners.
