We recently completed this mobile command center for the Floyd County Sheriff in Indiana. Built on a Freightliner MT-55 forward control chassis, the vehicle features a 26,000lb. GVWR and has a CUMMINS B6.7L diesel engine with an Allison 2200 EVS automatic transmission. We integrated an in-house fabricated flat floor slide-out to increase the available interior workspace. We also installed a weatherproof exterior workstation with a 43" QLED display monitor. LDV's exclusive Intel-I-Touch™ vehicle automation system simplifies the deployment of the vehicle on scene. The command vehicle is equipped with a leveling system to stabilize the truck when deployed. A complete emergency lighting and siren package has been installed along with bright LED scene lighting. The command center also has installation provisions and has been prewired for a future rear mast. Four perimeter surveillance cameras have been installed for situational awareness.
Inside, there is a front conference room with flip down, fixed bench and spider base task chairs for seating. Four 32" wall mounted display monitors have been installed on the streetside interior wall. Dual 50" display monitors have been added to the curbside slideout interior. A fixed conference table with fold down leaf is also part of the conference room. For privacy, magnetic soft close pocket doors are included. Magnetic surface dry erase white boards are also wall mounted. A Sony Blu-Ray player is also included.
The center of the vehicle houses the large electronics rack. Dual café-style work desks are also part of the interior design. Laminate counter tops are utilized for durability. A large 43" high resolution monitor is wall mounted on the streetside above one of the café work desks.
The rear room features dual work stations each with two 22" display monitors. Custom aluminum cabinetry is provides room for gear storage. The overhead cabinets have dry erase writing surface on them. Comfortable spider base task chairs are used as well.
Plenty of electric power is supplied to the vehicle by a 20kW liquid cooled diesel generator. A full vehicle surge suppression system has also been installed to protect the electronics equipment. Additional electronics include an HDMI matrix switcher and a roof mounted HDTV antenna. We prewired the interior for customer-supplied radios. RJ-45 CAT6 network wiring and jacks have been utilized throughout. A Cradlepoint cellular router with single modem is also included. A lateral arm awning provides shade when needed. Four ducted low profile rooftop A/C units keep the interior cool and wall mounted electric heaters supply heat when needed.
