The Florida Highway Patrol chose a 16ft. aluminum trailer for their emergency equipment trailer. This trailer is used to transport the department's UTV to a scene when needed an acts as a command center of sorts once it is deployed. On the rear is a premium rear door ramp with continuous hinge for easy loading and unloading of their UTV. The UTV is outfitted with radiation scanning equipment for use at large public events. This trailer is also outfitted with LDV's Intel-I-Touch™ vehicle automation system. A Superwinch on a custom mobile mount plate has been integrated into the trailer as well.
On the curbside of the vehicle is fold-up bench seating which can be used when the UTV is not being stored inside the trailer. This sits across from the 50" LED SmartTV complete with a custom protective cover for use during transport. The electronics cabinet also features a removable door for easy maintenance access. Custom-fabricated overhead cabinets with dry erase writing surfaces have been installed at the front of the trailer.
Pass-through doors with a key lock have been added for passing wires through into or out of the vehicle as needed. Pre-wire and installation provisions have been made for communications radios as well. Keeping the trailer cool is a single low-profile air conditioner with its own thermostat. Supplying electric power to the generator is a 5.5KW gas generator in its own compartment. A spare tire can be found in its own compartment that is integrated into the floor of the trailer.
