Evidence Response Team Unit

These evidence response vehicles were created to include all the equipment needed when working a scene. Built on Ford F-550 XL 4x4 SD crew cab chassis, it features a 6.7L diesel V8 engine and TorqShift 6-Speed automatic transmission with overdrive. They also feature a high capacity trailer-tow package for heavy-duty towing capabilities. A Class III receiver hitch has been custom-fabricated for the vehicle as well.

The interior features a custom-fabricated aluminum console in the cab for storing emergency switches and siren controls. Each custom body has been fabricated with a plethora of storage compartments to accommodate different kinds of equipment. Slide-out trays have been installed to provide easy access to different pieces of equipment when needed. Transverse compartments have been designed to allow access from both sides of the vehicle as well. Pan tray shelves can be adjusted to accommodate equipment as needed.

The rear features a custom-fabricated aluminum rear bumper with a treadplate deck. On the grill, a winch has been installed along with emergency lighting. A 12-kW generator provides electric power to the vehicle and is housed in a compartment with a slide-out tray. An array of emergency lighting has been added around the vehicle for high visibility.
