Eric Tarantino's new Freightliner MT-55 tool truck is awesome! The 20ft. all-aluminum construction boasts a 6.0L 308 HP gas engine, 2200 HS Allison automatic transmission with park pawl, and hydraulic brakes. It also features a chrome bumper, chrome heated power mirrors, a passenger jump seat, and a single rear swing door with a door prop rod. The rear swing door can be used in conjunction with the 2,000lb. all-aluminum auto open/close lift gate for loading and unloading of heavy inventory.
Inside, Eric integrated LDV's 5-shelf interior with ColorCore faced shelves and black stanchions, LDV's VersaFlex interior system, ColorCore undershelf drawers, and ColorCore deep floor drawers. Swirl plate has been added to the floors of the three toolbox areas which measure 86", 62", and 42". A red air tool ladder sits above the glass front refrigerator with red "S" logo. A ColorCore workstation provides a dedicated work area with a 22" wide drawer stack, flip-down printer access, lockable cash drawer, and a pull-out writing surface. The 20" wide single repair stack includes ColorCore face-frame, five storage drawers, a broken tools drawer, and a carpeted hammer rack. Slatwall has been installed in the workstation as well as the rear swing door. Loncoin flooring has been installed for durability.
A color backup camera system has been mounted on an offset bracket for visibility around the liftgate. Keeping the vehicle secure while parked is an alarm system and security camera DVR and a lockable security gate. For HVAC needs, a 53,000 BTU engine-driven A/C unit with rooftop mounted condensor and a 65,000 BTU hot water heater has been installed.
