Dubuque Fire Department (IA) HAZMAT/Mobile Command Center

Built on a Freightliner MT-55 forward control chassis, this dual purpose HAZMAT/Mobile Command Center has a CUMMINS B6.7L 300HP diesel engine with an Allison 2200 EVS automatic transmission. The all aluminum body construction features one of our in-house fabricated flat floor slide-outs for maximum interior workspace. The vehicle has exterior drum storage as well as a flip down rear step for easy entry. Extreme duty body storage compartments have also been integrated into the body. A complete emergency lighting and siren package has also been installed along with bright LED scene lighting. To ease parking maneuvers, a color backup camera system has also been installed. The vehicle also has SCBA storage integrated which is accessible from the outside. A weatherproof exterior workstation with a 43" LED display monitor has also been integrated into the body.

Inside, the vehicle has a front work room with three workstations as well as dual stowable work tables. Flip down bench seats provide additional seating for staff. Dual 32" high resolution display monitors have been installed at the streetside workstations. An overhead cabinet is also included for additional storage. A multi-function printer is also included in the front room. A magnetic closure pocket door provides privacy between the front and rear rooms. There is a 2.7 cu. ft. refrigerator included for convenience. Magnetic surface dry erase white boards are also installed.

The rear features adjustable shelving with mesh cargo netting to secure gear. A 12kW commercial quiet diesel generator supplies plenty of electric power to the vehicle. A full vehicle surge suppression system protects the vehicle's electronics. HVAC duties are handled by two low profile rooftop A/C units with wall thermostat. A direct discharge furnace is also installed to warm the interior. We prewired and made installation provisions for a future rear-mounted mast as well.
