Dona Ana’s mobile crime lab is built on a Freightliner M2 106 conventional cab chassis and features an all-aluminum body with two of our in-house fabricated flat floor slide-outs and vehicle leveling system to stabilize the mobile lab while in use. It includes an abundance of storage with custom fabricated Extreme Duty underbody compartments for gear storage and a large vertical storage compartment on the exterior. The mobile lab is equipped with a custom flip down rear step to aid entry into the vehicle, LED tripod light poles on the exterior for night operations and a complete emergency lighting and siren package. The cab area features a custom fabricated center console to house a communications radio, siren controller and a battery disconnect switch as well as a color backup camera system to assist with parking maneuvers.

Inside, the mobile lab has a custom fixed bench seat and two workstations. Magnetic surface dry erase white boards and a cork board are also included. A flip down bench seat is also included on the front wall. A magnetic soft close pocket door is installed to separate the two rooms. The rear work room features stainless steel counter tops and a galley with microwave and dual refrigerators. The vehicle is also equipped with a pressurized water supply system complete with fresh and gray water tanks. A 32″ display monitor has been wall mounted as well. A lavatory is included. Custom commercial grade cabinetry is included for gear. Dual commercial grade drawer stacks are also installed.

A commercial quiet 12kW diesel generator is mounted in a custom fabricated compartment. All of the installed electronics are protected by a full vehicle surge suppression system. Additional features include a Sony Blu-Ray disc player, digital HDTV antenna and customer-supplied communications radios. The vehicle has been wired with RJ-45 CAT6 wiring and jacks throughout and a 24-port gigabit switch is also installed.
