Dona Ana County Sheriff chose a 39ft. Freightliner chassis and LDV built-in three flat-floor slide-out rooms for additional interior space. This DUI/BAT vehicle includes an area for impaired motorist check-in and testing and two holding cells. This vehicle also has a galley kitchen and lavatory for those onboard working to keep their community safe.
Dona Ana’s DUI/BAT vehicle includes five workstations for their staff. A galley kitchen with refrigerator, microwave, and Keurig™ coffee maker has also been integrated into its interior design. Two holding cells are outfitted with diamond plating with each containing a floor drain. LDV’s Intel-I-Touch™ vehicle automation system handles vehicle operating systems including lighting, HVAC, awning, and more. This vehicle is also equipped with custom fabricated aluminum cabinets, HDMI inputs, custom fabricated magnetic aluminum-framed dry erase boards, 2 electronic converters/chargers, 2 LED Smart HDTVs, Blu-ray player, and a 4 Channel Digital Video Recorder.
Dona Ana also chose to integrate a 15’ light tower to provide illumination as well as four low-profile air conditioners to keep the vehicle cool with one dedicated to the holding cell area. This vehicle includes exterior storage compartments with a liquid-cooled diesel generator in its own custom-fabricated compartment. A lateral-arm awning extends to provide shade and protect the entrance from inclement weather.
